Partnerships
GlaxoSmithKline License. During 1996, we obtained all of the worldwide rights to our original delta receptor patents and know-how from GlaxoWellcome (now GlaxoSmithKline).
Organon Pharmaceuticals License. During 1999, we granted an exclusive worldwide license to Organon Pharmaceuticals for the injectable formulations of our analgesic DPI-3290. With this license Organon is responsible for all development and commercialization of this product. This license also carries some limited rights regarding our other analgesics in development.
?lan Pharmaceuticals Joint Ventures. During 1999 and 2000 we formed separate joint ventures with ?lan Corporation plc focused on developing their MEDIPAD technology with both our proprietary and other non-patented opioid analgesics.
